Free Tuition Programme
With the vision of assisting children from less-privileged background to achieve a meaningful level of academic attainment and eventually progress to further education, Loving Heart’s Free Tuition programme has supported numerous students from Primary 1 to Secondary 4.
Through the assistance from a group of highly-qualified volunteer tutors, the programme currently caters individualized tuition to students across Jurong, Bukit Batok and Yuhua on Fridays (7pm – 8.30pm) and Saturdays (9am – 10.30am, 10.30am – 12pm). In collaboration with the Social Service Office, we have also expanded our reach to Boon Lay to serve more students under ComLink every Monday (7pm – 8.30pm).
To ensure greater impact, our tutorial is based often on a one-to-one configuration.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Parents / Legal Guardians are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents (PR)
2. Residing within Jurong GRC, Bukit Batok SMC or Yuhua SMC
3. Child currently studying between Primary 1 to Secondary 2
4. Monthly household income between $3000 to $4200 or Per Capita Income between $800 to $1000
To apply, please download the Application Form and bring the following documents to
Blk 316 Jurong East Street 32, #01-279 during our office hours:
1. Copy of NRIC of parent(s) / guardian
2. Copy of Birth Certificate for child to be enrolled in the programme
3. Copy of latest salary slip of parent(s) / guardian
4. Copy of child’s latest school results (where available)
