Belanja @ Jurong Central
In collaboration with Jurong Central CCC, we launched Belanja @ Jurong Central, an initiative where those who can offer a helping hand ‘belanja’ fellow residents cooked meals and drinks via a Peel-Stick-Claim meal card scheme at participating coffee shops and eateries.
Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (Jurong) is happy to be able to belanja more residents warm meals and help make food security accessible to more!
Micro-job Taster Programme
What do you want to be when you grow up? In September 2022, we collaborated with Bold At Work to co-host a Micro-job Taster Programme for the Pre-University students from MUIS Madrasahs.
They were keen to learn more on the job roles available in the social service sector, what exactly we do, as well as some of the triumphs and challenges that we face. These students thoroughly enjoyed the bite-sized hands-on activities that were planned out for them to experience some of the work we do here.
Project Journey with You
Sponsored by Baring Private Equity Asia, Baring Private Equity Asia Real Estate, and its staff members, Project Journey With You is a targeted fundraising administrative plan for Jurong Central. The modalities of support will be varied, and will evolve with time.
The first run of the project on 25 September 2021 distributed more than 550 sets of support packages to 343 households living in rental units in Jurong East Court. Each interim support package includes an EZ-Link Card with $15 value and NTUC vouchers worth $25. Shoutout to volunteers from Jurong Central, Loving Heart (Jurong), and BPEA for supporting the event!
Satellite Distribution @ Nanyang CC & Jurong Central Zone A RC

Vegetable Voucher Scheme with Jurong Spring FoodCare
A collaboration between Jurong Spring Citizens’ Consultative Committee and Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (Jurong) since February 2020, we worked with Jurong Spring FoodCare to provide fresh fruits to more than 140 recipients under their care. On a bimonthly basis, recipients receive vouchers worth $6 each and are able to redeem fruits through an appointed vendor. Through this, we also hope to increase nutritional values of food assistance with fresh food!
Free TCM Clinic Going Digital!
In the process of digitalisation, our service ambassadors are also picking up on their digital skills while we transit onto an online booking system at the Free TCM Clinic. At 72 years old, Mdm Kang, who has been with us since 2011, has displayed keenness in upgrading her digital skills. Despite her being unfamiliar with desktop computer, she has managed to pick up the necessary skills and weaved it into her routine. She has improved so much that she is even able to coach fellow ambassadors during their On Job Training. She is a good example of lifelong learning.
Kudos to all our service ambassadors!
During the post Covid-19, we see lives being disrupted and many are still struggling to earn a living. Together with YMCA, we had served a total of more than 5,900 meals for 9 weeks for our beneficiaries under our care.
We would like to thank YMCA for extending this service to our beneficiaries residing in Jurong.
Free breakfast Scheme
Free Breakfast Scheme is a ground up effort first mooted by Ms Joyce Yu, a resident in Jurong Central. Joyce saw how Covid-19 is disrupting life and impacted on the livelihood of the less fortunate members in the community.
Together with her friends, Joyce reaches out to Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (Jurong), proposing to offer the scheme to residents who will benefit from the effort. We worked quickly with our Grassroots partners (to identify and register recipients), get in touch with food stores operating out from the N4 Neighborhood Centre (opposite Jurong Green CC), and successfully rolled out our first sets of breakfast on 9 April 2020.
The Scheme has since served more than 3,200 packs of breakfast to residents in both Jurong Spring and Jurong Central, and will continue to support our community for the extended period of the circuit breaker.
delivery of food gift packs
In enabling families to stay home during the Circuit Breaker, with help from volunteers, our team organised an exercise to deliver 2-months’ worth of food gift packs (that includes fruits, eggs and household items) to our clients shortly after the announcement of circuit breaking measures. While making plan for the next distribution, we will continue to reach out to our clients and support new ones that are referred by our community partners.
