Covid-19 has greatly impacted the digital transformation in Singapore. To promote inclusion for our seniors, Loving Heart hosted the Digital Workshop to guide seniors on how to download and use TraceTogether, SingPass, SafeEntry and Zoom.
free eye screening @ singapore polytechnic
Singapore Polytechnic invited 20 elderlies from our Free TCM Clinic to a comprehensive eye examination. It includes testing of eye alignment, measuring eye pressure, checking of spectacle power etc. Free spectacles were provided to those who are in need.
cheng hong parents’ day charity luncheon 2019
On 1 June 2019, Cheng Hong invited 40 elderlies to their Parents Day Charity Luncheon at Chui Huay Lim Club. They were treated with a sumptuous meal of Teochew food, goodie bags and red packets! The elderlies enjoyed the lunch and were beaming with joy.
functional screening with agency for integrated care & SATA Commhealth
In collaboration with Agency for Integrated Care and SATA CommHealth, a vision, hearing and oral health screening was held on 12 September 2018.
71 seniors benefited from this programme. Seniors eligible and in need were also introduced to the Seniors’ Mobility Fund or other government subsidies for hearing aids, spectacles and dentures.
By improving access and affordability, the programme hopes to encourage seniors to go for timely screening and receive needed care and functional aids should they require any. It also helps to pre-empt falls and improve quality of life and independence to support ageing in place.
